RTO Vehicle Recall Forms 2026: Official Documentation
Under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, the government can mandate safety recalls for vehicles found with defective components. Manufacturers and investigative agencies must use Forms 50A, 50B, and 50C for reporting.

| Form 50A | Form to be submitted by Investigating Officer to vehicle manufacturer, component manufacturer, importer, or retrofitter of a motor vehicle or component. |

| Form 50C | Form to be submitted by Investigation Officer to the Central Government. (Investigation Report from Investigating Officer) |
What is a Voluntary Recall?
Under the Indian Motor Vehicle Recall Portal, a manufacturer can also voluntarily initiate a recall if they discover a safety hazard or manufacturing defect. If you receive a recall notice, you are entitled to free repairs or replacement of the defective parts from the authorized service center.
