Why Do You Need a Driving Licence?

Under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, no individual is allowed to drive a motor vehicle in any public space without a valid driving licence. Driving with only a Learner's License requires you to display a 'L' sign on the vehicle and be accompanied by a permanent DL holder.
